Catch the Hidden Figure
A portrait poster in which a giant claw reaches over a toy-block city, turning the hunt for a hidden figure into one bold image.
Background / Goal
The poster builds around the moment of catching a hidden figure: a giant white claw reaches down into a toy-block city while the title runs vertically along the left edge. The available material does not specify the brief, intended placement or audience; visually, the piece turns the anticipation before an unboxing into one directed gesture.
Process
- Lowered the viewpoint and placed the claw above the block city to establish scale first.
- Kept the ground in lime green, grouped the buildings in pink, purple and pale grey, then unified the shapes with a heavy black outline.
- Set the English title vertically and cropped it along the left edge, while the Chinese title sits in a pale bar at the bottom, giving the eye two clear entry points.
- Added small props such as cacti, cars and block-like houses to fill the open areas and keep the composition moving.
Outcome / Highlights
The finished image concentrates the chase in one downward move: claw, city and typography all push toward the lower edge. The lime, pink and purple contrast, together with the thick outlines, keeps the composition legible when it is reduced to a homepage card.
